» All residential rental property managers/owners, landlords, general contractors,
maintenance personnel, and trade contractors including HVAC, painters, plumbers,
carpenters, electricians, window replacers, and roofers.
HOW DO YOU SIGN UP FOR THE COURSE?
» Class size is limited. Registration is required. Call the Cayuga County Health Department at (315) 253-1560.
Participants will be provided with a complimentary tool promoting lead-safe work practices at the end of the training. Funding for the training and supplies are provided by the Cayuga County Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program – a program of the New York State Department of Health.
*Federal law requires that workers performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disrupts lead-based paint in homes, childcare facilities, and schools built before 1978 to be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. This includes residential rental property owners/managers and landlords. Failure to comply with EPA's RRP program requirements could result in penalties of up to $37,500 per day per violation.
