Event details: Cayuga County residents are encouraged to join us for the 2026 Annual Tire Collection & Recycling Event!
This year’s event is once again a collaborative effort between the Cayuga County Department of Planning, the Cayuga County Soil and Water Conservation District, and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County.
Taking part is simple—just bring your unwanted tires, and our team will handle the unloading for you upon arrival, making the process fast and convenient.
This event plays an important role in keeping our communities clean and safe. Properly disposing of scrap tires helps prevent environmental hazards, reduces breeding grounds for mosquitoes that can carry illnesses like West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), and lowers the risk of tire fires. We hope you’ll join us in supporting a cleaner, healthier Cayuga County!
